Merry Christmas for PP273

Hey everyone!  I hope that you miss me blogging as much as I miss stamping and sharing with you!  With our recent move, I've been missing my stampin' mojo ... could be that my stamp room is out of boxes right now in a tiny room of my in-law's basement.  I am glad I have one, don't take this as being ungrateful! I'm just anxious to get into our new house and get my craft room back! :)

This week I decided to get a little help from a card challenge to spark my creativity.  I think I have played along with the Paper Players one other time, but I love the challenge of a tic-tac-toe!

I chose to go straight across the bottom using ribbon, a tree and a punch.
Here's what I came up with:

I love the thick baker's twine and love it even more pulled apart.  It gives it a wavy look which I think is too fun.  The punch and tree could count from the Tree punch, but the "star of the card" here is the cut out tree in my opinion.  Might help the fact that it's lifted off the card a little with dimensionals.

I added some red glitter stars on the front and decided to carry one on over to the inside.

This set is a must have!  I have used it in so many projects this holiday season.  Feel free to look them up on my blog under "seasonal snapshot 2015".

Thanks for stopping by.  Don't forget to head on over to The Paper Players Blog to check out the rest of the inspiration.

Blessings,
Holly

Gather Together with Project Life

Last week my father-in-law was cutting up firewood.  I noticed he was cutting a branch that fell recently and I ran out to stop him.  I had an idea and needed his tools :)

I'm in love with this Seasonal Snapshot 2015 set from Stampin' Up! Not only does it cover the seasons in an adorable way, this font is so stinkin' awesome! Seriously, if you've read my blog the last few months, you're probably sick of me saying it!

This is our first thanksgiving with family in a long time.  We are very grateful to be around our loved ones.  Unfortunately, while I was making these my husband text me and said he is now working Thanksgiving.  I guess we will have to bring him leftovers! (I'll still attach his tag)

The only stamp not used from Seasonal Snapshot is the splatter from Gorgeous Grunge.  The leaves, sweater stitching, sentiment - all from this awesome set.  Its for more than just your memory keeping!

And since I was already stamping away, I thought I'd make a few things for my Thanksgiving pages.

This is a 6x4 card from the card kit.  I added the Gorgeous Grunge splatter, washi tape and ribbon.

This was an extra tag that I cut up to make a label.  Can't wait to take the family picture to go in it!

And last but not least, I added this circle embellisment to the existing 3x4 plaid card.  I really wanted to add the same details from the name cards to my PL pages.

So there you have it.  You have a week left to make some of your own.

Just don't go kill a live tree. Find a dead branch :) and while you're at it, make sure you head on over to suochallenges.com to see some more fall inspiration! I'm entering my placecards in this week's challenge.

Blessings,
Holly

Words of Truth - Happy Birthday!

Lately, it's been hard for me to step back from the holiday catalog and use some goodies from the annual catalog.  There are just too many great sets and well, I'm in the Christmas spirit already!

(Tree will not go up until after Thanksgiving.)

However, there are so many great sets from the annual catalog too!  Like this one called Words of Truth.  It comes with a few fun and quirky sentiments to pair with "truth" and "remember" - perfect for the kids... Here is a quick post for a birthday card and sweet treat I made for my niece!

The happy birthday is from the Silhouette and Script hostess set.  Love the reverse type font.

And a little something to hold some sweets! :)
The Cherry on Top DSP was perfect for these Starburst candies!

Such an easy treat holder to make, too! I know I wouldn't mind receiving this :)

Thanks for stopping by.

Check back Monday for some big news about the "retiring products" from the holiday catalog!

Blessings,

Christmas Cards & Tags Basket

This past Friday, I scrambled to get a basket of cards together.  I had told my mother-in-law earlier in the week that I would donate some cards for the church's Oktober Missions Fest.  However, Thursday night came around and I went to bed early with a terrible headache.  I only had a few hours Friday morning to make this happen!

But it happened! Unfortunately, I only finished with 2 minutes to spare.  My husband had the kids in the car already so I had to be super quick with pictures!  I hope you can still see all the details.

Peaceful Wreath & Project Life Seasonal Snapshot 2015 (sentiment)

Wonderland (trees), White Christmas (card sentiment) & Flurry of Wishes (tag sentiment)

All Ye Faithful & Kinda Eclectic (starburst) - Festival of Trees (tag sentiment)
This was my favorite card that I made.  Might end up being my Christmas card too!

Flurry of Wishes - This was my favorite tag from the basket.

This was a lot of work but I was happy to help!  My basket of cards went for $40 - all for a good cause!  I hope these inspire you.  Time to start making your Christmas cards :)

Have a great Monday!

Endless Thanks - Simple and Stepped Up!

It's hard to believe that October is already over.  It's been a busy month for us.  We made our move from Rhode Island to Minnesota a little over a week ago and we're settling in at my in-laws for the time being.  Let's see... So far in the 4 days that we have been in MN, I have had a root canal, it's snowed and the offer we put on a house was second in line and we missed it.  Rough few days.

Then last night I was able to watch the joy on our kid's faces as they went trick-or-treating and I was reminded how blessed I am.

Aren't they adorable? :)

I'm also so thankful for health insurance for my tooth, being close to family and living in God's will.  The house wasn't meant to be - and I know we will find a place. :)

So, speaking of being thankful and the fact that today will start the "I am thankful for..." statuses on facebook, I wanted to share with you the thank you cards that I made for my customers who placed orders this month.  I'm also playing along with the "thankful" challenge at SU Only Challenges! They're celebrating 5 years!

This one I kept very simple.  I used Endless Thanks which I order last week during the stamp sale.  I love this set already!

I also wanted to show you all how to "step it up" and add more detail to this card.  This is my card for the challenge!

What do you think?

I hope these inspire you!  I'd love to hear what you are thankful for today!

Thanks for stopping by :)
