Fancy Friday = #MailaCardMonday Challenge

Hello!  Welcome to another Fancy Friday hop!  This is only my second time hopping with these lovely gals and I'm already 45 minutes behind schedule!  I hope you didn't miss me the first time.  We are a group of current and past SU Artisan Design Team members.  This week there are 12 of us - so make sure to visit us all and pin your favorites!

Each month on the last Friday, we will bring to you new challenges of all kinds (color, sketch, stamp focus, etc)! This month we were to create at least 2 very fancy cards WITH coordinating envelopes of your themed choice and support the “Mail a Card Monday” challenge! The idea is to stamp your cards over the weekend and then mail them out on each Monday. I know I get behind on birthday cards, but find myself sending more and more "thinking of you" cards. Here are a few that I've made using the Hold On to Hope Bundle.

I absolutely love this bundle and hope you do too!
Next up is my lovely friend Marisa Gunn!

Have a wonderful weekend!  Get some stamping done and fill your outgoing mailbox Monday morning! :)

Epic Celebrations - Like, Totally 80's Style!

I'll go ahead and be honest with you.  I took a beautiful color combo and went a little funky with it!  I needed a fun birthday card for my downline, who just happens to be born in the 80s, so I decided to make a totally rad card using the color combo from Global Design Project and the sketch challenge at TGIF Challenges!

I really like this Sale-a-Bration stamp set called Epic Celebrations.  It's great for teenagers and even the music fans.

I like the pop of black with the color combo so I added some Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon and some Basic Rhinestones (colored with a black sharpie).  I also wanted to add some guitar strings with Basic Black Metalic Thread.  I saw Cathy Caines make a similar guitar and I had to try it.  Glue Dots were a great adhesive for these pesky little strings!

For the inside, I used the other sentiment from the set and carried over the Tutti Frutti DSP and stamped Bermuda Bay cardstock.  I also used more of the Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon.

Totally awesome, right?

:)

Have a fun rest of the week!

Two for Tuesday - Picture Perfect Birthday

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you are well where you are in the world.  Today we had a 2 hour delay for weather - though it was more of a cautionary call since we woke up to nothing but cold temps!  Life in Texas sure is different than Minnesota :)

I haven't posted in awhile so I thought I'd catch up with a Two for Tuesday post!  These are two cards I made the other week when my downline, Michelle, came over to stamp.  I wanted to play around with the Brusho and decided to use the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set.

I thought the blue Brusho matched Dapper Denim nicely.  The sentiment was embossed in white first, colored with Brusho and an Aqua Painter and then cut out using my Big Shot and Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Aren't these 2 step gift bow stamps cute?

The second card was also made with the Brusho and Aqua Painter.  I used a square stitched shapes framelit to create the long rectangle.  I hope to get a video up soon to show you.  I really like the adhesive back Tutti Frutti Sequins too.

That's it :)  I hope you like these two cards.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
