Hello Lovely - Where Creativity Meets C9 - Challenge 19

Hello lovely friends and followers :)

Hope you are doing well today.  I had a few moments to stamp last night after the kids went to bed.  It seems that we got into a bad routine over spring break and I don't think my children went to bed before 10 for 9 days straight!  Spring break is over though, and since last night was a school night, I got to stamping and was in bed myself by 10! Woohoo!
I decided to play along again with the Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge - a special challenge from Concord & 9th where the winner gets free stamps.  No harm there!  You can check it out by clicking the sketch graphic below!

I decided to use the Hello Lovely stamp across the background at an angle.  I also stamped an extra flower to fussy cut for the focal point.

I layered the flower onto a 2 1/2" circle of Tutti Frutti DSP and a large Stitched Shapes Framelit - both from Stampin' Up! - the colors are also from SU! and I thought they looked very Spring-like!
(Sweet Sugarplum, Lucky Limeade, Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Wild Wasabi.)

For the stripes on the background, I used some Vellum Cardstock from Stampin' Up!

I'm really happy with the way this card turned out.  This Hello Lovely set from Concord & 9th is beautiful and a lot of fun to color!

Thanks for swinging by!  Have a wonderful week!

I Am Lucky I Found You - St. Patrick's Card

We were challenged in our team facebook page to make a St Patrick's Day card. I didn't have a particular stamp set to go with the theme, so I improvised some.  The "green beer" is made with the mug from Mixed Drinks.  To make a mirrored image, I stamped the mug in Memento Ink onto a silicone mat and pressed the image onto a piece of white cardstock.
*I made the reversed image first so that I could add the other and see where to line it up.* :)

The sentiment is from the Lovely Friends stamp set and I used markers to color it to coordinate with the rainbow Brushstrokes background.  A little gold to finish it off :)

Hope you have a blessed day!

Welcome to the World - TGIFC150

Earlier last month, my friend Dana gave birth to twins - a baby boy and girl.  I'm hoping since we live less than 2 hours apart that I will get to hold those precious babies soon.

The card I made for her features a stamp set from Concord & 9th called Globe Greetings, but the rest is Stampin' Up! - love the Pool Party and Flirty Flamingo combo :)
I chose the sketch from TGIF Challenges to play along with this week.  It's been awhile since I've play along with any challenges, but it's always a nice way to find inspiration.

For the globe, I stamped the image in Pool Party first and then used a sponge to dab on some Flirty Flamingo.  I wanted to add both the colors in a fun way.

You probably can't see, but the background is lightly stamped all over with "adventure awaits" in Smoky Slate (stamped off).

I added the sentiment on the inside as well.

I hope you still like the card, even though it is not Stampin' Up!

Have a great day,
Holly

Two for Tuesday - Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts

When my MIL visited the other week, I asked her to bring her Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts stamp set with her in case we had a moment to stamp.  It's sometimes hard to get her away from her 4 grandkids to play "cards" with me!

When I first saw this stamp set, I knew I liked it but I was set on others first.  I liked the look of the catalog samples and knew it was a set that would be great for all coloring mediums.  For these cards, however, I used the Stampin' Blends markers.

The card size is 3x6 - perfect for half a sheet of this cute Tutti Frutti DSP Stack.  I matched the Calypso Coral DSP with the same color Blends.  I also used both the Light and Dark Blends of Pool Party, Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Daffodil Delight (Light).  A simple Linen Thread bow and the card is complete!

For the second card, I used another sheet of Tutti Frutti DSP Stack - this sheet is Crumb Cake - with a piece of Wood Textures DSP Stack on top.  I added some Marina Mist 3/8" Scalloped Velvet Ribbon from the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit and some more Linen Thread.

For the focal point, I used the sentiment and branch and framed them with a circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and framed that circle with a scalloped Pink Piroutte circle from the Layering Circles Framelits.  I fussy cut one of the birds and added a pretty Doily to finish off the soft look.

This is a very sweet set that I know you'd love!  If you'd like to know how to purchase this set or any other items from Stampin' Up!, feel free to ask!

Remember, SALE-A-BRATION ends this month!  Spend $50 and earn a free product!

Have a blessed day!
