LAST DAY for DSP B3G1 Sale! It "Calls for a Celebration" !

Hey there! I hope you're having a great week so far! I'm actually traveling today but wanted to share some cards that show some really fun uses of DSP (Designer Series Paper).

This DSP also is one you might be surprised with. This is the Animal Expedition DSP pack. These are 3 great pattern sheets with no images and they make great backgrounds on their own. I simply cut strips of the DSP in varying widths and lengths and placed them on a white background.

This stamp set is called Calls for a Celebration. I initially liked this set but put it far down on my wish list but when I came across a card with this sentiment in black and white, this set quickly moved to my "must have" list!

So for these cards, I wanted to use the DSP and the black and white sentiment to make some fun, bold birthday cards for any age!

I thought tilting the DSP was a fun look.

I love the Starburst Punch in Vellum. The Faceted Dots also add some fun detail.

This next one is my absolute favorite! I love the festive fringe layers! Cute, right??

Super simple way to step up your cards!

This last one is one that I made with the guys in mind. Since I was out of the Berry Burst strips, I thought the colors would be great for a masculine card.

I used the Balloon Builder Punch and added some "glare" with my Pool Party Dark Blends Marker.

I think this set really does call for a celebration!

Casing Connie Collins with Calls for a Celebration!

Today I have a really sweet card that I made special for my friend Ellen. Ellen has had a really hard past 3-4 years and yet still takes time to bless others.

She actually used to write for a few greeting card companies and appreciates a card in the mail. When I saw this sentiment, I knew I would use it on a card for her.

(If you would remember her in your prayers, I know she would appreciate it.)

Anyway, I decided to case the lovely Connie Collins for this weeks challenge over at the Global Design Project. Connie is one of the few that can take floral images and make me want to buy the stamps or paper! She's quite the enabler and does beautiful work with florals.

I decided to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) her card by incorporating the same Share What You Love DSP and some stitching.

I added some stitches with my sewing machines and it coordinates nicely with these beautiful new Stitched Labels Framelits. I don't even think I noticed these framelits at first, but after seeing so many other demos use them, I ordered them!

The sentiment is from the set Calls for a Celebration. I had purchased this set for the other sentiments and didn't even notice this one until I took it out of the box! Talk about a sweet bonus!

I also added some fringe with the crumb cake dip and added some extra detail to the background layer with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

(This folder is a must have!)

This card is already in the mailbox on its way to my friend.

A Note of Thanks with Garden Impressions DSP

I am really having fun using up my Designer Series Paper. Most of the time, I hoard my DSP, but I'm loving this Garden Impressions DSP. I wanted to show how easy it is to incorporate

just a little bit of DSP to make some quick and simple cards.

My husband's cousin asked if I had some thank you cards on hand that she could purchase from me. I had a few but decided to make a couple more. This is a simple layout. Remember the technique of tearing the edge of your cardstock? Yep - it's still in style!

I chose to use P.S. You're the Best - I just think this typewriter is precious. Don't you?? The "A note of thanks..." sentiment is from Thankful Thoughts.

I finished the card off with some Whisper White Baker's Twine, Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins, and some splatter using an Aqua Painter.

The two DSP patterns you see are on the same piece of paper - proof that both sides can be beautiful!

Enjoy the Goodness of This Day

Hello there! Today I'm sharing with you 2 cards I made using one of the hostess set called Seasoned with Kindness. I tend not to buy many hostess sets because I have become more of a hobbyist demonstrator and I don't sell to many others than myself, but this set I thought was pretty cute. I like the little pots and the sentiments.

The clay pots are a 2-step stamp. The detail of the shadows is perfect!

I'm also loving this Garden Impressions DSP. These 2 designs are in Calypso Coral which pairs nicely with the coordinating Calypso Coral 1/4" Ombre Ribbon.

Country Livin' for GDP147

Happy Friday ya'll! It is HOT here in Texas - triple digits for the 6th day straight and it's only getting hotter. So to cool off, I'm getting some stamping done today while the kids play inside.

I decided to play along with the fun theme at Global Design Project this week.

I grew up in some rural Amish country of Pennsylvania where we were surrounded by farms and now that I live in Texas surrounded by some pretty vast ranches, I've always had a love for the farm/country life.

So for today's card, I decided to use the Country Livin' and Bard Door stamp sets. I adore this pickup truck and love coloring it with Stampin' Blends. I think the Bermuda Bay Blends with a little orange "rust" in there make this truck so interesting.

The Linen Thread and Corrugated Elements Heart add a sweet rustic detail.

I stamped the barn door onto some Wood Textures DSP for a fun background layer.

Finally, the sentiment is from Better Together stamp set. I looked through many sets and when I saw this sentiment, I thought it'd be perfect for this ol' pickup.
