Merry Little Labels Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Hello there and welcome to another hop from the Artisan Team!  I can hardly believe my time on the Artisan Design Team is almost over... The new team has been announced and I only have a few more hops left!  I've had such a blast with the ladies on the team and I will miss them dearly - but I am so incredibly excited for the new group of ladies.  I have been a fan of many of them for years now and I'm glad they are getting this wonderful opportunity.  So before we get started, please remember to use the translate tool if you need to so that you don't miss any detail!

Today we are featuring the Merry Little Labels stamp set and coordinating Everyday Label Punch.  We are also featuring the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I decided to make a card and a bag with a masculine feel and not necessarily a Christmas theme.  I really love the sheet of DSP with the trees and thought both designs of DSP worked well together for the "outdoorsman guy".  The black paired with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive is a great combo!

I made the bag using the Gift Bag Punch Board.  I punched two small holes at the top for the Cherry Cobbler 1/4" Double-Stitched Ribbon.  The front of the bag is decorated with the "No Peeking" stamp embossed in white, punched out with the coordinating Everyday Label Punch and adhered to the Starburst Punch.  I added some scraps of the 7/8" Striped Ribbon and Black Metallic Thread.

The paper filler is made with skinny strips of Old Olive paper from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack.  (This is easy to make - cut skinny strips and crumple up the paper!  So simple!)

The card was made using many of the same product to help tie everything together.

Now since I really liked how this turned out, I wanted to make another bag and card.  This time I wanted to make something using a completely different look with colors and paper, but a similar layout.

For this bag, I used the same "No Peeking" tag and colored the sentiment with my Stampin' Write Markers.  For the tag on the card, I used the markers to color just the "for you" part of the "Just for You" stamp.  A great use of the markers!

The bag was made very similar with the Starburst Punch used with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Stitched-Edge Ribbon, Silver Metallic Thread and the birthday bag was made with the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper.

I used the same sheet of DSP for the larger layer on my card and carried over again some of the same embellishments.

My favorite detail is the "balloon" that I stamped the "For You" sentiment on and then punched out using the Balloon Bouquet Punch.  I really like the way it turned out.

As you can see, the Merry Little Labels set can be used for other occasions - not just Christmas :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Next up is my dear friend Jennifer Sootkoos from the US!

Have a wonderful day!

Blessings,
Holly

  4. Love the greeting layers on these cards with the different shapes and folded ribbon. Have to add this idea to my little list of design prompts.
