Stamp Review Crew: Jar of Love

Welcome to our bi-monthly hop!  We are a group of international stampers that blog the first and third Monday of each month - highlighting a specific stamp set.  This month we are focusing on the Jar of Love stamp set.  I have made a few cards with this set - mainly showing the beautiful flowers and framelits - so this time I thought I'd try something with the fish.

Our neighbor (the same one who's daughter just got married Saturday) are really becoming empty-nesters, as their son is leaving for college tomorrow.  I thought we would send him off with something homemade.  We have an abundance of zucchini right now, so banana zucchini bread it is!

These new 6x17" gusseted bags are in the new holiday catalog and are HUGE! But, they're perfect for loaves of homemade bread or a bottle of wine.

I wanted to keep the card masculine and thought this was a simple enough card for a young guy.

I added a little Peekaboo Peach splatter to add a little something to the large white space.

I hope you like both projects!  This Jar of Love bundle is really great with endless possibilities.  Make sure to make your way around the entire hop.  You can go back to the lovely Val (you may see her awesome work on the SU! Artisan Design Team) or you can go in order and continue on to the very talented Heidi!

Thanks again for stopping by! Have a great week!

Bless Your Heart - Jar of Love for TGIFC65

This week we have a fun (and easy) challenge over at TGIF Challenges!  Let's just say if you have a pair of scissors or a big shot - you should be playing along!

As Joey Gladstone would say - "Cut - it - out!"

Whether it's fussy cut, die cut, or heck - even a cake - we want to see some cut out images! :)
Easy enough, right?

So for this challenge I chose the new Jar of Love bundle.  This was the first set that I wrote down on my wish list when the new catalog came out but it didn't quite fit in my budget.  I recently purchased it with some hostess money I earned and I'm so glad I got it! It's a must have!

I love the graphic look of stamping sentiments all over the background.  I have been doing it a lot lately - it helps fill in some white space.

This set comes with flowers and matching dies.  The smaller branch I did fussy cut.

I decided to add some Wink of Stella to the water.  Beautiful, right?

Hope you like it!  Please join us this week over at TGIF Challenges!
Blessings for a great weekend!
