Basket of Wishes - Day 1 of 4

I feel like it's been forever since I last blogged.  I have been stamping like crazy getting ready for a craft show here in MN and haven't had much time to play along with challenges.

I did however get a lot of cards made on Saturday.  Saturday was "World Card Making Day" and I wanted to share this week 8 of the cards I made.
I used the new set from the holiday catalog called Basket of Wishes.  You can click on the image below to go to SU's page and see a few other samples.
For the first card I want to share, I used the flowers and the cute little basket with a handle.  And lucky for me, I chose colors on Saturday that just so happen to go with this card from Bibi Cameron for the new challenge at the Global Design Project.  I love when that happens!

Now obviously, since I made my card on Saturday, I can't really say I was "inspired" by this particular card, but I do love the color choices that Bibi chose - especially the yellow swing!
For my card, I chose Tip Top Taupe, Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron.

I have my first SU party tomorrow (I usually just do card clubs).  Since there will be some new stampers there, I wanted to share a simple and stepped up version of this card.

I love that you can make a simple card in just a few minutes!  It's always nice to have quick card ideas when you're pressed for time!

I hope you liked these two cards.  I will show you more of the cards throughout the week, so stay tuned!
