Blossoming Basket for GDP124

I'm sure you have noticed that I have been gone for 2 weeks.  Unfortunately all 4 of our children had the flu over the last 10 days and not much stamping happened.  I thought I'd come back blogging with something new!  This Blossoming Basket stamp and new Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder is a bundle you can earn free (starting Feb 16th) with an order of $100.

For the main image, I embossed the basket in White Stampin' Emboss Powder on watercolor paper and colored the image with an Aqua Painter.

And check out this embossing folder - it's perfect for this stamp set!  The good news is that the embossing folder will carry over to the new annual catalog!  You have until March 31st to earn it months early.

I was inspired for these cards by this beautiful card made by my friend Louise at Global Design Project.

I think this bundle is going to be very popular! :)

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope now that our kids are better that I will be blogging more!

Blessings,
Holly

Brusho, Baby Wipes & Party Pandas!

Yesterday we celebrated our second oldest!  This little guy is such a spitfire! He's our early riser, goofy-trouble maker and our very best eater.  This kid will try every food once and eats almost anything.  He has a sweet soul and will talk your ear off.  In fact, yesterday his doctor told him he has the "gift of gab".

And now he's a "whole handful" - in more ways that one.

For his card, I wanted to try a new trick that I saw on Lyssa Zwolanek's blog.  If you are new to the Brusho products like I am, I am amazed to see many different ways to use this coloring medium.  This particular card was made with Brusho and a baby wipe (and I have a lot of those around the house).

The first thing I did here was the embossed background.  I took words from both the Tabs for Everything and the Thoughtful Banners.  I arranged them onto a clear block and stamped the words in Versamark - embossed in White Emboss Powder.  Andrew really got a kick out of the words I chose - especially the "wild & crazy" combo.  I also added the little cake afterwards.  Arranging these on the block really made this quick and easy, and perfect for stamping it twice across the background!

Next, get a baby wipe - a good quality one that won't fray easily and is moist.  Now, Lyssa said this wipe will work for a few card fronts, so feel free to make multiple.  I was stamping late so I didn't bother making more than one.  Sprinkle a little Brusho across the wipe until you have a surface area covered that will cover the front of a card base.   You may need to spritz the wipe if the Bursho isn't activating enough.  Then lay your cardstock onto your baby wipe.  I recommend Shimmery White, Thick Whisper White CS or Watercolor Paper.  I used regular white and my paper warped a lot.

We can blame that mistake on the lack of sleep.

Finally, use an Aqua Painter or paintbrush to blend in any areas that you would like. I used Huggies wipes, so I had some "H circles" to blend. :)

The black and white sentiments are from the Thoughtful Banners set and this adorable panda is from the Party Pandas set that you can earn FREE now through March 31st during Sale-a-Bration!

So grab the Brusho and stamp sets and you've earned yourself a free Party Pandas set!
(Plus you earn a "heart" for my customer rewards with a $50 order!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Tasty Trucks - Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek!

Forgive me for taking a much needed break from making Christmas cards, but I needed to make a birthday and I'm super excited to share this one with you!  If you're not familiar with the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) promotion coming up Jan 4th through March 31st, you're in for a treat!  For every $50 you spend on product (out of the annual catalog, occasions catalog or the clearance rack), you earn a free product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!  There are 7 stamp sets, packs of designer paper, ribbon packs and more to choose from!  Next to Christmas, it's one of the best times of the year! :)

One of the 7 stamp sets that you can earn FREE is called Tasty Trucks.  I'm loving this fun little food truck.  When I first saw it in the Sale-a-Bration catalog, I knew that I wanted it right away.  It so stinkin' cute!  The sentiments are a nice variety too.

I needed to make my good friend Jenna a card and get it in the mail today.  Her birthday is Saturday, so I'm hoping it will be there on time!  Jenna really likes tacos, so I made her this fun taco truck card!

I started by stamping the little tacos all across the background layer.  I'm glad I covered up a few of the crooked ones =)

I added some Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim, Calypso Coral Thick Baker's Twine, a layer of Caylpso Coral Designer Series Paper (from the Subtles DSP pack) and a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock that I embossed with the Lucky Star Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF).

And isn't that "let's taco 'bout how awesome you are" sentiment so fun? :) I love it!

Another new product that Stampin' Up! is releasing in January as part of their Occasions Catalog are the Watercolor Pencils.  These color great on their own, with and Aqua Painter or with our Blender Pens.

I used a Blender Pen to color the truck in with a few of the pencils.  I really like that SU! chose a good variety of colors - not just a specific color collection.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek!  We are off to meet our Kindergartner for lunch!

Blessings,
Holly

Flowering Fields - A Sale-a-Bration Highlight

Today I wanted to highlight a Sale-a-Bration stamp set that I wish I owned!  I stamped a few images the other week while visiting my mom and right now I'm kicking myself for not getting this!  It's adorable, fun to color and makes me think spring!  Are you ready for spring?

And as fun as it is to color, it's just as striking when it's black and white.  Here are two cards I made with the Flowering Fields stamp set that YOU can earn free right now with a $50 SU! order!

Now if you know me, I like soft colors and lots of white space - but I also hoard DSP (double-sided Designer Series Paper) and need to use it up!  This particular DSP is called Everyday Chic and the entire pack is black and white.  This is one of the sheets and I wanted to showcase both sides!

These flowers didn't need color in my opinion.  (My mom's opinion too) :)  They look great as is!

This one was fun to make too.  I forget to use washi tape all too often, yet it makes a great addition to any card.  Here I used Hello Honey washi tape on white cardstock so that it would stand out against the black and white dots.

I used my inks and a blender pen to color in the flowers.  I think using a blender pen is my favorite way to color!

Have a great Thursday!
