Country Livin' Meets Glamper Greetings - GDP112

This morning after I put our oldest on the bus, I decided to stamp for a few minutes. Next thing I knew, it was almost 8:45 and my other 3 were still sleeping!! I was able to color a few of trucks from the Country Livin' set using the new Stampin' Blends. If you haven't heard, Stampin' Up! has released a new line of alcohol based markers that are artist quality and very easy to use! I've really enjoyed coloring with them.

I chose to color the truck blue and add some "rusty" spots - I like to think there's a field out there where an old beat up truck sits like this. :) The colors I used for the main body of the truck were Light Bermuda Bay Blends and Light and Dark Pool Party Blends.

Now if you own the Country Livin' set, you may wonder were the banner and balloons come from. That's where Glamper Greetings comes in to play. These smaller little stamps fit perfectly with the truck. The sentiment is also from the set.

I can't wait to try out more of these two set together!

I'm also entering this card for this week's challenge over at Global Design Project. It might seem a stretch, but when I see Connie's beautiful card, I'm inspired by her perfect coloring and also by the "rustic" look which I tried to accomplish with my rusty truck.

Eastern Beauty with The Stamp Review Crew

Hello and welcome to another hop with the Stamp Review Crew! I'm glad you're here! I'm sad to say though, this will be my last hop with the SRC. It's been an absolute honor to hop alongside these amazing ladies and gents over the last year, but I need to step back from the design teams for now and spend more time with my kids! No... this doesn't mean I'm done blogging - not at all - just need to breathe a little more and not have pressure of so many deadlines.

So now that that's out of the way... Let's look at what I've made for you with the Eastern Beauty stamp set and Eastern Medallions Thinlits! I wanted to create something to show off the medallions so I decided to make an ornament.

If you look closely, you can see the top of the ornament was made with one of the small stamps from the set. I also added another small stamped image to the script of the sentiment.

I carried the same two stamps over to the inside of the card as well to add a little more of the "eastern beauty". These small stamps make beautiful borders for sure.

Perfect Packaging with the Creation Station

Happy Sunday! I hope if you're in the USA you enjoyed your extra hour of sleep!

Today we have a fun theme for today's hop - perfect packaging. I had a few ideas in mind to make but decided to make this cute little cupcake holder. I had leftover cupcakes from our halloween party and decided to try something fun with them.

I was inspired by one I found on Pinterest but she did not have any tutorial or instructions. I will try to draw up a pattern for this soon and put it on my Facebook page.

I used the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper to create this fun little cupcake holder.

I cut two holes using the 1 3/8" Circle Punch so the icing wouldn't get smashed.

I cut two circles - one with the sentiment on it - and adhered them together only at the very top. This allowed me to just slide the circles over the box top. The sentiment is from the Labels of Love stamp set from the holiday catalog. I added some Gold Mini Sequin Trim and a (retired) tassel from the Occasions catalog - I thought the white ones were current and they are not - SORRY! You can still get tassels in annual catalog or make a DIY one.

This would make a cute little gift for a coworker, teacher, bus driver, etc.

Neutral Cowboy - TGIFC132

Happy Friday Ya'll! I hope you had a wonderful week and maybe even a little fun trick-or-treating or passing out candy. We hosted a small gathering at our house for our neighbors on our street before we all ventured out with the kiddos. Our boys were Alvin, Theodore and Simon =)

Anyway, it is Friday which means we have another new challenge over at TGIF Challenges! This week was a little challenging. Brown is actually my second favorite color but to make a card with JUST browns was a little difficult. I really wanted to add some pop of color! (White snuck in there, but that's it.)

I kept things simple for two reasons - I wanted the boots to be the fun focal point, and well I completely forgot to make a card until 9:30 last night!

Sometimes though, simple is best. I colored the boots with the Crumb Cake Light and Dark Blends. The new Stampin' Blends are really really nice and user friendly. I find them very easy to use.

The background is embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love this look! The boots are from the Country Life stamp set and the sentiment is from Feather Together.

Seasonal Lantern with Stampin' Blends

Hello! Can you believe we are already to November? If you've been waiting for November 1st and the release of the new Stampin' Blends markers, we have a treat for you today with the Artisan Design Team Blog Hop! We are showcasing these amazing, artist quality alcohol markers today for you to enjoy!.

Stampin’ Up!’s premier alcohol markers, Stampin’ Blends are high-quality, dual-tip markers that come in 12 of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive colors, each with a light and dark shade. Maybe you don’t think of yourself as an artist, but you don’t need to be because these markers make it super easy to blend colors and create gorgeous works of art! I have really enjoyed using these markers over the last few days and know you will love them too!

For today's card, I have used the Seasonal Lantern Bundle with 5 of the new Blends duos. I found coloring in the order of the light first, then a little dark, and then blend again with light gave me the best result of blending.

For the lantern I used both the dark and light of the Pumpkin Pie Blends. The leaves were with Old Olive, the gourd with Daffodil Delight (and a little Pumpkin Pie), pine cones with the Crumb Cake Blends and the candle was made with the Pool Party Blends.

I also added a little Pumpkin Pie Dark Stampin' Blends to the Rhinestones Basic Jewels for a coordinating colored rhinestone. Isn't that awesome?? And the ink doesn't rub off!

I added some Window Sheet and gave the lantern some dimension.
