Triple Challenge - Sea Street Meets Hooray It's Your Day!

If you follow me on Instagram you may have seen the nautical party decor I made for little Bode's first birthday.  If you didn't see it, I suggest you click that Instagram icon over there on the left. :)

This morning I finished the cupcakes and took those and the cookies over to my friend Stephanie's house for the party.  I came home and had about 1 hour to make a card and get 3 boys ready for the party.  Problem was, I was just not feeling it and needed some inspiration.  So I checked out 3 sketch challenges.  I wasn't sure which one I wanted to do, so I played around with all three...

3 cards made, 3 kids dressed, and out the door in and hour.  God is good!

All three cards are made with the Hooray It's Your Day and Sea Street stamp sets.  (I specifically ordered the Sea Street set to help with my friend's son's party... glad it's not retiring -- I love it!!)
Here are the three cards I made:

The first card sketch I made is from Create with Connie & Mary.  This is the first time I've tried this challenge, so we will see how it goes.  It's a simple and fun sketch!

I chose the striped DSP to bring in a touch of red.  I also added the school of fish to the corners to match along with the card base.  The pop of red with "You" literally stands out as an extra detail.

I like to keep the insides of my cards simple.  Love the look of the octopus holding the balloon.

The next sketch is from Mojo Monday.  I love all the layers!! Now I didn't notice the actual card was supposed to be tall & skinny, but I think the sketch makes your eyes think otherwise :)  (Mine is a standard A2).
This one was probably my favorite of the three.  Love all the stamped layers and DSP.  Even a touch of Real Red Ribbon.

This balloon and octopus together - <3

The last card I made was the one we gave to Bode.  I let our 4yo son Eli pick.  He liked the one with the "one" on it.  This simple sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches.
Yep - you guessed it, the octopus and the balloon :)  Love the simplicity of this sketch.

I brought the school of fish into play again with the inside.  Isn't this set cute?!

This is the tag for the bag I made using coordinating colors/DSP.  Just a small touch!

I hope you enjoyed the coordinating cards!  Make sure to check out the challenges.  And swing by tomorrow - we have a great new sketch for you at Can You Case It? :)

Happy Saturday!
