Moon Baby Boy - TGIFC99 Last Call!

Happy Wednesday to you!  We are almost through the week which means you don't have too much time left to play along with this week's challenge over at TGIF! This week at TGIF Challenges we are challenging our followers to play along with the "baby theme" - there's not many cards cuter than baby cards!  I'm also playing along with the baby challenge at The Paper Players this week!

Almost makes me want another baby...

The Moon Baby stamp set form Stampin' Up! is so adorable - one of my favorite baby sets ever.  The images are great for watercoloring - like I did here with Aqua Painters and Shimmery White Cardstock.  You can also use the new Watercolor Pencils with these images.

Here I used the little baby on the moon.  I cut the star out and attached it closer.  It does hang from the moon a little longer but it wasn't ideal to fussy cut the string :)

I added the moon using Stampin' Dimensionals to give the card a little more detail.  I also did the same with some clouds that I cut using the Up & Away Framelits Dies.  The moon and sentiment are on a large circle cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies - the inside says "do you know how loved you are?" - so sweet!

The Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder gives it one final detail.

Sky Is the Limit - Times Two

Just a quick post today.  I traveled the past two days across 7 states and I'm a little exhausted.  But I wanted to share with you another set that you can earn free with a $50 order.  This set is called Sky is the Limit and you can only earn this set FREE through February 15th.

Oh Boy! - GDP003

Hey friends! Sorry it seems like there has been a gap in posts.  I've been a little busy lately but I'm happy to say I've been busy stamping too - lots of new cards to show you - starting with today's card! 

If you missed the post the other day, there is a new challenge site in town.  LOTS of talent on both the design team and challengers.  I was chosen among the entries for their first challenge, but I was quite surprised.  There was a ton of creativity and pure stampin' genius among the mix. 

Needless to say - I was honored to win their first challenge. 

I skipped last week's but I'm playing along again for this week's theme.  I have a friend that just found out they are having a boy so I wanted to send a card!

I love this Sweet Li'l Things DSP from Stampin' Up! and all the cute little images on it.  I knew for sure that I wanted to incorporate the DSP in the card but I wasn't sure which set I wanted to use.  I wasn't feeling Zoo Babies and I was kind've stumped.  Then I remembered Dear Heart - and I double checked and it is still current!

Isn't that little guy adorable?

When I showed my husband, he said "dear heart??"... :) I think it's cute!  A little congrats for the parents and a "I already love you little baby boy that I haven't met yet" to the baby. :)

Oh Baby Baby <3

I had to fill another order this weekend - this time for a baby boy card.  I was a little pressed for time and quite honestly needed to clean my room more than make another mess, so I kept it simple.  

For the first card, I chose a piece of DSP from the Best Year Ever pack.  This was a freebie from sale-a-bration this year, but have no fear - you can still get your hands on a pack.**

I used the Little Letters dies to cut out the word baby and I saved the letters for the other card. The "welcome" is from Celebrate Baby and the banners were just a simple and easy added detail.  

This card came together fairly quick too.  The alligator was a last minute choice.. I always hate adding something and then regret it later... This, however, I didn't regret.

A little frayed detail to the edges and it was complete :)
