Here for You - GDP097

Happy Monday friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  We've settled into our new home quite nicely and I've had more time to stamp than I thought I would.  I'm trying to play along with more challenges to give me reasons to play with new stamp sets!

This week I've decided to play along with the Global Design Project's color challenge.

I went through my stamp collection and picked a set I had yet to ink.  The Always & Forever might be a set you've overlooked if you think aren't looking for a wedding set - but it's more than just a wedding set.  It has a sweet "I'll always be here for you" sentiment that you can use too - which is exactly what I did!

For the glossy look on the Berry Burst heart, I took my Fine Tip Glue Pen and used it like Crystal Effects.  Unfortunately I dropped my sentiment onto it and messed up the gloss!  It does take a bit to dry!

I also used some Clear Embossing Powder on the wood ring to give it extra texture.

The wood grain background is made with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and wrapped with some 1/2" Finely Woven Berry Burst Ribbon.

The leaves were stamped separately onto Wild Wasabi cardstock and fussy cut.  I decided to add them at two different dimensions using Stampin' Dimensionals.

Sure hope you like this card! If you have any questions about this card, let me know!

Have a great day!

  2. Holly, this card is just adorable. I love that you made the Crumb Cake your dominate color with little pops of Berry Burst and Wild Wasabi. Thanks for playing along this week at Global Design Project!
