A Green & Silver Carols of Christmas - Artisan Design Team Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another blog hop from Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Design Team.  We are a group of 20 demonstrators from around the globe that are very fortunate to represent SU! and all of their amazing products!  Because we are a global team, be sure to use google translate if needed.

I'm a little late to today's hop - I was hospitalized for the last 28 hours and wasn't able to get my blog post up - and quite honestly, I wasn't going to trust my husband to make it happen! Haha! Poor planning on my part, but I'm glad you stopped by today!

Today we are featuring the Carols of Christmas Bundle.  The Carols of Christmas stamp set and coordinating Card Front Builder Thinlits are now available for purchase!  What's even better, if you earned Bonus Days coupons in July, you can cash those in and save on the bundle!

Here are the two cards I made for today using the color combo of Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Smoky Slake and silver.

For the Smoky Slate card, I decided to add some silver embossed splatter.  This is done with watered down Multipurpose Glue, an Aqua PainterStampin' Emboss Powder and your Heat Tool.  Such a quick and simple way to add some fun detail.

For the Wild Wasabi card, I created a watercolor background using Watercolor Paper, some Stampin' Sponges, a Stampin' Spritzer and my Heat Tool.

I stamped and diecut the little holly leaves and berries and added them with some Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  I added some of the Smoky Slate Gingham Ribbon and Silver 1/8" Ribbon.  I also added some silver sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment.

I also added some of the Silver 1/8" Ribbon and a scrap piece of the watercolored background to finish off the inside of the card.

I hope you continue on a check out the rest of the hop!  There is a lot of great talent and inspiration to help you with your holiday card prep!

Next up is the lovely Jennifer Sootkoos from New Jersey - just click the next button.  As always, the full list of the design team members is below along with the list of supplies used for my creations.

Blessings,
Holly

  5. The color combo is interesting. I never imagined mixing gray and green and yet, the result is rather fresh and elegant.
The silver shine also is ... in fact there are many details and work while the cards seem so refined! It really is a beautiful set!
